How Far Along: 14wks 2days
Size of baby: Baby is the size of a lemon
Sleep: Still exhausted. I wish I would get my energy back
Total Weight Gain: not sure
Symptoms: still have breast tenderness, exhaustion and some nausea
Movement: little kicks here and there
Maternity Clothes: oh yes!
Go-to eats: Still fruits and veggies, especially carrot sticks and sugar snap peas
Best moment of the week: Finding out the gender of our baby
Gender: It's a GIRL!!
What I wish people knew: That being pregnant doesn't mean you are disabled!
Milestones: This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
On Sunday Hubs and I went to View a Miracle in Staten Island for our gender scan. I had a feeling that we were having another girl but still leaned towards boy as well. It was confirmed that we are indeed having another baby girl!
The Staten Island location is so quaint and has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. There are two fireplace's, couches, books for the kids to read, magazines for the adults and great items to purchase.
Upstairs is the most adorable boutique
The Gender determination cost is $80 but is on sale for $50! It does NOT include a CD. You will receive 2 thermal black and white images. You can have this scan done at 14 week but the best time is 16 weeks.
You can purchase the CD for $10 or the DVD for $15
Hubs and I agreed that we will be going back to the Staten Island location to do a 3D/4D ultrasound as baby gets bigger. It's so amazing to watch this human being growing inside of you. View a Miracle helps you capture those memories.
You can also purchase a Heart Beat Animal for $24.95 to preserve baby's heartbeat. We choose the giraffe and my kids love listening to baby's heartbeat.
