Earth's Best offers a variety of products that are not only delicious, they also are nutritious and of course made with organic ingredients! Earth's Best Sunny Days Snack bars are an great source of calcium, iron, zinc and six B vitamins. They contain no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives and no genetically engineered ingredients.
Sunny Days Snack Bars are appropriate for children who can chew solid foods and come in two yummy flavors, apple and strawberry. The Snack bars are individually wrapped and can go right in to your child's lunch box and also make great on-the-go snacks. I also like that they are the perfect proportion for young children.
Even if you don't have a child attending school, Sunny days bars can be given as a morning or mid-day snack for your little one. I usually keep one in my bag for E if we are going on a long trip or ride. I also occasionally give her a Sunny Days Snack Bar for her after nap snack.
Here are some other tips on choosing healthy snacks and beverages for lunchtime:
- Replace chips and cookies with whole wheat pretzels or crackers
- Include, milk, water, or 100% juice drinks like Earth's Best Juice boxes
- Send along a fruit salad cut in small bite sized pieces. This may be more visually appealing to your child!
- When packing veggies like carrots and broccoli in your child's lunch box, include a little dip such as ranch, hummus, veggie dip, or even cream cheese
- Offer your child their choice of healthy snack items to pick from
