My Tubie Jammies: Pajamas for Children who Require G-tubes

For those of you who may not know what a Gastric feeding tube (also known as a G-tube) is, it's a feeding tube used to provide nutrition to patients who cannot obtain nutrition by swallowing.

My Tubie Jammies are specially made for children who require G-tubes. These pajamas have a small colored plastic ring called an extension access ring. The ring is attached to the bottom of the leg of the pajamas (as pictured above) and allows for the extension to be accessible so that the child can wear their footie pajamas comfortably and in style!

About the creator Tami and why she started making My Tubie Jammies:

"As a mom of a tube fed baby I was having a hard time finding clothes that worked with the G-tube and the extensions. I did not want my baby dressed in clothing that I had to cut a hole in or cut the foot out of just so the tube could be accessed. I wanted my baby to be able to wear those cute footie jammies and zipper sleep n' plays. It was very frustrating and stressful to have to think about what my daughter was going to wear on top of all her medical problems that lead her to get a feeding tube."

Tami sells her My Tubie Jammies on Etsy but she would now like to make these pajamas free for children who are just getting their G-tube placed. She will also make her pajamas for children who have serious illnesses or disorders and already have a G-tube, however her primary focus will be on children who are just starting their G-tube journey. This is where Tami needs your help. She is looking for donations of:
  • New footie/footed pajamas (zippered) in any size/color
  • Shipping supplies (medium and large bubble mailers)
  • Tissue paper
  • Lables
  • And monetary donations for postage costs
All donations will be used for making theses pajamas free of cost to the families of children who need them. To donate, please contact Tami a mytubiejammies@aol.com
