Since E was born, we've gone through many, many thermometers including ones that were digital, LCD, and infrared. I found it so hard to find a thermometer that was accurate and would sometimes have to use two different thermometers to try find a precise temperature. 

When using the Advanced Solutions Talking Ear Thermometer, it's important to make sure that the thermometer is positioned properly in the ear canal. For children 6-12 months old, you should lay them flat with their head sideways so that their ear is facing upwards. Gently pull the ear back and insert the thermometer in the ear. With a child 12 months and older, gently, pull the ear up and back o straighten the ear canal. 

We've owned an ear thermometer before but it always seemed like it took forever to get a temperature. When you have a squirmy baby or toddler, those seconds are precious so for me, getting an accurate temperature quickly is very important. The Advanced Solutions Talking Ear Thermometer makes taking a temperature quick and painless! It actually takes only one (1) second to get a reading!

If you're child doesn't have a fever, the Fever Light™ ring will illuminate green and a happy face will appear on the display but if your little one does happen to have a fever, the ring will illuminate red and a sad face will display on the screen. The thermometer has a memory recall and actually recalls the last 30 temperatures taken. Sometimes my pediatrician would ask me about E's temperature and whether it had gone up or down within a certain amount of time. The memory recall is very useful for when you are trying to keep track of your child's fever.

I also love that the Advanced Solutions Talking Ear Thermometer can measure the temperature of bath water and food! Its really simple to do if you follow the directions. Switch the thermometer to object mode by pressing and holding the "M" and "S" buttons. Then you would place the probe within two (2) inches of the object (food liquid, etc) to measure. Sounds easy right? Because it is! 

This is my favorite thermometer that we have owned and definitely one I would recommend to a friend or family member!
