Donate-A-Toothbrush {Guest Post} @GiveaToothbrush
When was the last time you really thought about brushing your teeth? I don't mean remembering to do it twice a day. I mean really thought about what you were doing and why you were doing it? Most of us just do it out of habit.
One night about two years ago, while brushing my teeth, I started thinking about how kids in third world countries were not fortunate enough to have simple amenities that we take for granted, one of the most common being the toothbrush. I thought further that getting toothbrushes to these kids would be a wonderful way to expand my community service beyond assisting the elderly (For the past 10 years, I have participated in a wonderful community service group called Joining Old and Young (JOY), a chorus of mostly high school students who sing to the elderly in assisted living facilities. Presently, as a high school senior, I am co-president of JOY).

Did you know that your infant's baby teeth are at risk for decay as soon as they first appear? You can help keep your baby's teeth and gums healthy and prevent cavities before the first tooth appears by creating a dental routine. The ADA recommends brushing your little one's teeth and gums gently with a child size toothbrush and water. The Green Sprouts Baby Silicone Toothbrush is perfect for this task!
Green Sprouts is a line of natural products from I Play that includes feeding, toys, and baby care items. The Green Sprouts Baby Silicone Toothbrush is appropriate for infants 2-12 months of age and is designed to clean you baby's mouth and teeth while gently massaging gums. The brush is made of high grade silicone and features a silicone shield that protects your baby from injuring their mouth and throat, keeping them from potentially choking. The toothbrush is BPA, PVC and Nitrosamine free.

Children's Dental Health #Giveaway!
As most of you may know, it's Children's Dental Health month which was created to raise awareness about the importance of oral care. In previous blog posts I've talked about the importance of establishing healthy oral care habits as young as infancy.
Tiny #Tooth Pouch from Shary Loves You!
How great would it be to have a little keepsake pillow for you child when he or she looses a tooth? Check out these adorable Tiny Tooth Pillows from fellow blogger, Shary Loves You (c/o Tiny Boss Designs)! They are perfect for any child and each tooth is made out of cotton fabric with fun embroidered facial features. There's a small denim pocket attached to the side to keep teeth (and later money) for when the Tooth Fairy pays your child a visit after loosing a tooth!
Sunstar GUM Children's Toothbrushes and Flossers {Review}
Like I've mentioned before, It's so important to establish healthy oral habits when your children are young. Children should brush twice a day with toothpaste and floss when brushing. It is recommended that children also brush between meals. Parent's should supervise brushing and flossing until they feel that the child can brush and floss on their own.

My Dentist's Choice Tooth Tissues {Review}
t
It's important to teach your child good oral hygiene habits as early as infancy. The ADA recommends cleaning your baby’s mouth even before they have teeth by wiping the gums with a clean, moist gauze pad or washcloth.
I was excited to try My Dentist's Choice Tooth Tissues on E which can be used from birth to and help to promote oral care. Tooth Tissues are disposable textured dental wipes that are designed to help remove plaque from your infant or toddler’s teeth and gums. These all natural bamboo dental wipes are fluoride free, parben free and contain xylitol.

Dr. Sharp's Strawberry Cream Kids Toothpaste {Review} @DrSharpProducts
We try our best to use natural products, even when it comes to oral care. My husband and I have used Dr. Sharp's Fluoride Free Mouthwash in the past and have sampled their fluoride free toothpaste for adults so I was happy to learn that they made a children's fluoride free toothpaste as well!
Dr. Sharp's Strawberry Cream Kids Toothpaste is also detergent free and cruelty free. It contains no synthetic colors, flavors, or alcohol and is sweetened with stevia. Natural sage and bambusa stem extracts combine to make a natural strawberry flavor, while soothing carrageenan protects gums and maintains good oral health.

Baby Banana Brush {Review}
E is about to turn two in April and since birth, I've made sure to clean her gums and teeth at least twice daily. Now that she's a toddler and has a full mouth of teeth, I want to have her practice brushing on her own.
I recently came across the Baby Banana Brush, a toddler training toothbrush appropriate for toddlers ages 12 to 24 months old. The brush is intended to help toddlers learn how to brush on their own so that the transition to a regular toothbrush will be easier on both the child and parent.
