Activity Tuesday: Handprint Fish

I wanted to post a summer activity before the summer ends so I went through my portfolio and old lesson plans and found an art activity thats appropriate for all ages!

Making handprint fish with infants is a little harder then it would be with other children, but it can be done! I've done it in the past with infants as young as 4 months old and they've come out pretty cute.

I've decided to add a weekly music and movement feature! Every Monday, I'll post a new music and/or movement activity that promotes fine and/or large motor development! I've chosen a simple but classic activity to start off this feature with.

My Favorite Teething Remedies

When I worked as a Infant caregiver at a nursery school, I dealt with a lot babies who were cutting teeth and became aware of the signs and symptoms of teething. On top of being extra fussy, E started drooling excessively and gnawing at (or "gumming" as I call it) her hands and toys. I quickly figured out what was going on.

I had a hard time trying to find more natural ways to soothe E. Most teething toys were a little too hard on her gums and the same goes for the frozen teethers.
